Rude Food Fiesta: Its a Bit of Mouthful! is a parody of the ubiquitous food festival.
A completely unique experience – not to be missed – you will enter a specially designed set by (h)edge kelektiv, at the urban oasis that is Edible Eastside, that takes you through our ‘alimentary canal’, and winds up at the Grand Union Canal!
There’s plenty to stuff in your cake-hole. Expect specially commissioned rude food courtesy of Pop Up Dosa, Honeycat Cookies, Bearwood Pantry, Albert Smith the Comedy Baker, and earth oven shenanigans with artist/chef Lizzy Bean. We are also delighted to announce Companis’ inaugural ‘Masterbaker in Residence’ is Annabel de Vetten-Peterson of Conjurer’s Kitchen who will be baking a selection of bespoke, limited edition cakes!
Get down and dirty with a vagina pasta making demonstrations courtesy of Kindle Theatre, pole-dancing performance by artist Kate Spence, and our very own Muthapucker (Vicky Roden) will be making a return – so hold onto your hats, and knickers, and pucker up!
You can wile away the afternoon supping some specially brewed ales – created by Greg Cox and brewed by Fownes Brewery. Or sample some experimental whisky cocktails by Birmingham’s famed Whisky Miss – Amy Seton- in collaboration with The Church Inn’s very own Carl Finn.
Moselele will be thrashing out some naughty tunes, Sam Underwood will be performing with his augmented tuba, Beth Bellis will be creating compositions with her classical quartet and the day will culminate in a fabulous set by Charity Shop DJ. Get your dancing shoes on!
And if that’s not enough, you’ll be able to get competitive with a series of food-based competitions and food eating challenges – wearing food-hats! Oh yes!!

Do you have to book tickets in advance or can you get them on the day?
Hello Ellie, thanks for the message and interest in our project. We would recommend you buy in advance as the venue has a limited capacity. Also you do have to be a ticketholder to be in with a chance of getting one of the exclusive tickets to Kate Spence performance in collaboration with Charity SHop DJ (which includes a free meal) – more on the website (Special Announcement).
However if you wanted to risk it, you can pay on the day.
